Wanted: SOA President & Director of Communications & Marketing

Are you keen to help the Scottish Orienteering Association drive forward by becoming the next SOA President, or new Director of Marketing & Communications? We’re looking for two people to fill these key roles.

Working together with SOA staff and volunteers, these are two important positions and ones where you can help be part of the future of orienteering in Scotland.

The President is responsible for the overseeing of the Chief Operating Officer and the operations of Scottish Orienteering. They will have a crucial role to play in the delivery of the organisation strategic plan as well as maintain effective partnership with key stakeholders. The President will work closely with the Chair to ensure the Board and the staff deliver the agreed strategic plan for the organisation within the resources available whilst upholding its agreed values.

This Director of Communications & Marketing is responsible for the development, delivery and oversight of the marketing of SOA activities within and outwith the SOA. Also, the development, delivery and oversight of communications within and outwith the SOA.

Both roles are voluntary positions, with expenses covered for attendance of meetings.
