STAG introduces new Team Sprint Relay for 30 November
In celebration of 2019 being the 21st Year of The Glasgow Parks Champs / 3 Parks In 1 Day event, STAG Orienteering Club is introducing a new Team Sprint Relay – named DU’O’ – on Saturday 30 November.
The Team Sprint Relay will be run in the Order ‘ Me – You – Me – You’ and consists of two legs each. The expected leading time per leg for an M21E is around 8 minutes and for an W70 is 12/13 minutes, but that is only half the story!
As well as an award for the first three teams to finish their courses correctly, the DU’O’ Trophy shall be decided once ‘time allowances’ have been deducted from the race time. There are also hoped to be special awards for teams consisting of Husband & Wife, Mum & Dad; Brother & Sister and many others, depending on entries.
