Oscar Shepherd wins Young Volunteer of the Year Award

Inverness Orienteering Club’s Oscar Shepherd has been awarded the Young Volunteer of the Year for 2019 at the Highland Coaching, Officiating and Volunteer Awards.

The award was made to Oscar in recognition of his orienteering coaching with primary children in Culbokie. It’s fantastic to see one of the first Scottish Orienteering Young Leaders putting their training into practice in such a valuable way, and we hope it will inspire other young orienteers to consider getting involved in their local area.

Congratulations to Oscar, from everyone at Scottish Orienteering!

L-R: Gavin MacLean (Head Teacher, Culbokie Primary School), Oscar, Clair Bale (Active School Co-ordinator) and Muir Morton (PE Teacher).
