Lochaber encompasses a wide area around Fort William, the outdoor capital of Scotland lying at the foot of the highest mountain, Ben Nevis.  The event starts on the shores of Loch Etive at Ardchattan before moving to Inverlochy, a Middle Distance race at the foot of the “venomous mountain”. Orienteering then moves west to Arisaig on the Road to the Isles, passing popular Glenfinnan en route.  Look out for the “Harry Potter” steam train.  Achnacarry is another new area, seat of the Chiefs of Clan Cameron with perfect terrain for Commando training during World War 2. The final days are again on new areas, Creag Dhubh by Newtonmore and then a final Middle Distance at Creag Meagaidh National Nature Reserve, a superb setting above Loch Laggan for the end of a great week.

So be sure to add the 1-7th August into your 2021 diaries and make sure you enter on 1st January to get the best priced tickets to this incredible event.

The Scottish 6 Days Company would like to thank all the clubs, mappers and volunteers who are working hard behind the scenes already to stage Lochaber 2021.
