A practical course for orienteers who are interested in coaching. This online course will give you the foundations to coaching and start your pathway to becoming a coach.
Run mostly online, with a practical club supported element, this course will be held over 4 sessions. Sessions 1 & 4 online 1.5 hrs, session 2 part online/part homework, session 3 club based practical session. Dates for the 4 sessions are – 26 Oct online 1.5 hrs, 2 Nov (part on line), 16 Nov online 1.5 hrs ,with a home learning session between 2-16 Nov.
This is a prerequisite for the Level 1 coaching course.
INTENDED FOR:
People with some knowledge of orienteering, who are interested in trying their hand at coaching; also useful for qualified coaches in need of a refresher.

As described above – Over one month period for a series of online sessions plus practical participant lead home learning

Competent orienteers at least at TD3; age 16+

This course is a pre-requisite for the Level 1 Coach course; you might apply to go straight to Level 2 after this course.
