Scotland Vets Selection Policy for VHI 2022
On her appointment as Performance Director Fanni Gyurko has raised the topic of selection criteria and team selection for all teams representing Scotland at Home Internationals, with support from the SOA Board of Director we are publishing here the selection policy for the VHI due to take place in October. Please read below and any questions can be sent to Veteran Team Manager Janice Nisbet.
Scotland Vets Selection Policy for VHI 2022, Trawsfynydd, Snowdonia, Mid Wales 1st and 2nd October 2022
Day 1 Individual/ Day 2 Relays
Selection Races:
Each year the following races will be considered for selection of the Scottish team:
- British Long Distance Championships
- British Middle Distance Championships
- JK Middle Distance and Long Distance
- Scottish Orienteering League events prior to selection date
- Scottish Middle and Long distance Championships
- Scottish 6 days (when appropriate)
We will also take into account the UK Ranking list.
If anybody would like to be considered for the team, but does not have sufficient results in the named races for any reason, please contact Janice Nisbet in good time before the selections are made so that the selectors can make an appropriate decision.
