Moray Schools Sponsorship Deal

Innes & Mackay

The Moray Schools took place on Thursday 6th October in glorious sunshine at Gordonstoun School with 20 primary and 3 secondary schools represented. The event was administered by Active Schools with Moravian providing all the technical support. Winning the right to battle it out with schools across the rest of Scotland were Forres Academy while the top two primary schools were Bishopmill (Elgin) and Kinloss.

Both schools have benefited from the skills of local PE specialist Jenny Bichan who has featured orienteering in her PE classes for many years, resulting in a great many juniors taking up the sport outside school.

Moravian’s Schools Liaison Officer, and Former Regional Development Officer said
“It’s always been a great source of frustration that Moray has never been involved with the Scottish Schools Festival. The expense of travelling to the Central Belt has been too much of a barrier in the past, but thanks to Innes & Mackay that barrier has now been removed. We will be encouraging the winning schools to take advantage of our monthly Schools League events on Saturday mornings to get their teams in the best possible shape for next June.”
