WOC 2022 seeks course planners/setters

The Scottish Orienteering 6-Day Event Co Ltd is seeking suitably qualified and experienced course planners/setters for the Sprint World Orienteering Championships 2022 (WOC 2022) which will be staged in Edinburgh.

Planners must be members of British Orienteering or have their own insurance cover in place.  Races include the Sprint Qualification and Final, Sprint Relay and the new Knock-Out Sprint format.

Planners would normally be expected to be involved in various test events and training sessions in advance of WOC 2022.  Events in 2020 and 2021 are very much part of the process building up to staging WOC 2022, and they give visiting athletes an opportunity to experience individual planning “styles” in different terrain types.

Please contact Graham Gristwood, technicaldirector@woc2022.org if interested with a short resume listing relevant experience.  Successful applicants will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement. Applications close Tuesday 23 April.

The Scottish Orienteering 6-Day Event Co Ltd is the Local Applicant underwriting this event and is assisted by the key partners of British Orienteering, Scottish Orienteering Association, EventScotland, City of Edinburgh Council and the University of Edinburgh (the “Steering Group”).
