Summer Job Opportunities – Expression of Interest

Scottish Orienteering is keen to help facilitate opportunities for youngsters to try out orienteering at summer camps in various locations around Scotland, especially in the lead up to WOC 2024 in Edinburgh. Coaching courses 2022

This year’s coaching courses have now been added to the new look courses page of the website. Lead coaches and club development officers are reminded that Coaching Foundation courses can be run for individual clubs if you have 6-8 interested participants. These courses are not assessed, but provide beginners with the tools and confidence they need to get started on the coaching pathway. Get in touch with Suzanne if you feel this is the way forward for your club.

Edinburgh MapRun Workshop Postponed

Due to the raised level of concern about the spread of coronavirus we have taken the decision to postpone the MapRun workshop planned for this Wed (18th Mar) in Edinburgh.

In the meantime, the MapRun app offers an excellent way of getting out to take part in orienteering on your own. There are already a good number of courses set up around the country with maps available for download here. Anyone that would like to see some more courses in their local area should contact Sarah Dunn who would be delighted to help individuals get started with setting up courses. Please get in touch by emailing sarah@scottish-orienteering.org if you would like some support with this.
