Orienteering Events Across Edinburgh
There’s more orienteering than you think in Edinburgh. Our local clubs, Edinburgh Southern (ESOC), Interlopers (INT) and East Lothian (ELO) organise events and activities throughout the year and are always happy to welcome new members.

Sprintelope Series
Between April and August every year, the Edinburgh clubs also host informal Wednesday evening events as part of the Sprintelope league. They are held within Edinburgh, East Lothian and Fife. They are the perfect progression from Orienteering Edinburgh or a great place to start if you can’t make our lunchtime events. See below for the dates and locations of the whole series.

Orienteering Edinburgh Route2WOC Series 2024
We ran our first series of Orienteering Edinburgh in May 2023. We then ran a winter series throughout November and December of 2023. As of 2024, we are running Orienteering Edinburgh events every week in the run-up to the World Sprint Orienteering Championships that is happening in Edinburgh from 11th-16th July. The events start and finish in Festival Square on Lothian Road (outside the Sheraton Grand Hotel). Sign up for Orienteering Edinburgh or drop in between 12-1:30pm OR 4:30-6pm to take part. If it’s your first time we recommend arriving before 1pm/5pm.
2024 World Sprint Orienteering Championships
The World Sprint Orienteering Championships comes to Edinburgh this summer, so get July 11-16 in your diaries and come to see the world’s best take on the intricate streets and historic buildings of Edinburgh. Learn more about WOC 2024.
