New WOC Development Project manager Post

With just an hour until the finals of the Sprint World Championships in Denmark (good luck to all the British athletes), we are already looking ahead to WOC 2024 with excitement. Do you want to be part of the success of WOC 2024 and capitalise on this opportunity for orienteering across the country? Come join our team and scope out the project plan on an initial 6 month contract. We are looking for a highly motivated individual, someone with fresh ideas and a sound background in project planning, marketing and delivery. This project will be all about partnerships! We are seeking an enthusastic person to work with Scottish Orienteering, British Orienteering, WOC 2024 organising committee and clubs.

Do you know how to make a project come to life? Can you raise the profile of WOC2024 and the sport? Can you work with clubs, schools and partners to deliver an exciting programme of events and activities to engage people in orienteering with all eyes towards the streets of Edinburgh in 2024? Summary:

Place of work: Home working but must be located within easy travelling distance to Edinburgh

Renumeration: £30,700 FTE

Hours of work: Full time 35 hour working week

Contract: 6 months. There is scope for a 2 year project delivery phase contract subject to  funding availability at the end of the initial 6months, this would be a separately awarded contract.
