There was lots of orienteering action this weekend, with another terrific victory for Scotland at the Junior Inter Regional Orienteering Championships in rainy Sheffield – see separate report.

Scottish Juniors made the long journey south to Doncaster at the weekend for the Junior Inter Regional Champs, with the individual races on a newly mapped area at Cowms Rocks and the relays in Tankersley woods on Sunday.

For the first day of Scottish Women and Girls in Sport Week – which runs from September 28 – October 4 – we’re highlighting multiple Junior World Orienteering Championship medallist, Grace Molloy.

The September issue of SCORE – Scottish Orienteering’s quarterly magazine – is now available to download, with print copies set to be in the post within the coming days.

The SOA club development fund is now open for a further round of applications, with a deadline of Oct 14th for clubs to submit requests for support.

As part of the SOA’s Competition Calendar Review, we’d like to get the opinions from all members on the future of the Scottish orienteering calendar.

Please note: SOA members who wish to attend Sunday’s EGM at Dreghorn Barracks, Edinburgh but are not taking part in either the VHI or SOL events MUST register their name to Fiona@Scottish-Orienteering.org prior to 3pm on Thursday 19th September to ensure we provide the Security Gate accurate attendee list to gain access. All members attending the EGM must bring photo ID to the Security Gate.
