Current SOA Events Manager Colin Matheson is, with immediate effect, also taking on the role of SOA Competition Coordinator.

The following juniors have been selected to be part of the Scottish Junior Orienteering Squad (ScotJOS) for 2019-2020, based on their performances throughout the past year.

The Scottish team for the 2019 Veteran Home Internationals – which take place in the North Pentland Hills on 21st-22nd September – has been selected, with the following names set to represent Scotland.

Scotland claimed wins in the men’s open and women’s relay at the 2019 Senior Home International, which took place in Wales on Saturday 8th & Sunday 9th September, hosted by Swansea Bay Orienteering Club.

Scottish Orienteering is running an informal practical evening workshop on at Dunblane High School from 7-9pm on Wednesday September 25^th, to help you learn how to use MapRun – the smartphone app which allows you to create and take part in orienteering “events” using GPS signals to identify control sites.

Good things come in small packages and the success of the newly created Tutor Foundation (TF) course is proof of that, as a group of four participants tested the SOA’s newly-developed Tutor Foundation course at Kinnoull Hill, Perth.

The Scottish Score Orienteering Championships 2019 were held on Sunday 1st September at the technically and physically challenging area of Faskally.

On Saturday 24^th August, 10 more young orienteers completed a day of Scottish Orienteering Young Leader training, led by Sarah Dunn and Denise Martin.

The Scottish team has been selected for the 2019 British Junior Inter Regional Championships, which take place over the weekend of 28^th/29^th September in South Yorkshire.
