Terry O’Brien receives BEM in New Year Honours

Scottish Orienteering congratulates Terence John O’Brien on his award of the British Empire Medal (BEM) for “services to Orienteering”.  Terry O’Brien as he is better known has of course been the driving force behind STAG for many years and served on the SOA Board in multiple roles.  A link to the Queen’s New Year Honours list in Scotland is here.

Terry has been recognised as a valued volunteer with his tremendous contribution to orienteering in schools in Glasgow and also for his ongoing work with STAG.
